Rick Moore & Mr. Lucky *Live*In*The*USA*
If you have ever been to a Tennessee juke joint then I know that you'll love
Rick Moore and the Mr. Lucky Band "Live In The USA" recorded one fine May
evening in one of Nashville's watering holes, Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie
Bar. This is one of the hottest live shows to hit the streets in years. From
House Rockin, Good Woman Bad, I wanna Get Funky, a great Albert tune, to
Swingin' Her Stuff, this band smokes! The songwriting of Rick Moore is classy
and hit's home to the common hard working man and woman and his vocals have
the power of a man who can testify with the passion of someone who knows the
pain of lost but has the emotions that we all share, you can feel the fire in
his eyes. His band is one of the tightest I've heard in sometime... Snake King
and Mike Caputy keep a groove that you can drive a tractor in and plow all
night long, and with Sammy Stafford's razor sharp slide, gliding through the
evening, it's deep rooted southern rocking blues tone that makes me think of
my days in the 70's in Memphis at Hueys. To have a keyboard player like Tim
Hinkley has to be a dream come true for any bandleader, this Englishman who
has played with Joe Cocker, Van Morrison and Humble Pie gives the added
slickness to make Mr. Lucky, top shelf product. Take it from me Buckaroo's,
where ever you find Mr.Lucky Live... Buy the ticket, cause you gonna have some
FUN! I really love this sound... I have to give "Live in the USA" 9 Bluedog
bones... Yep, this be hot stuff! WFOS 88.7FM
